Jacky James

Jacky is a senior communications consultant who has worked for many of New Zealand’s top companies, including government agencies, and private and publicly listed organisations. She has extensive experience in strategic planning, internal communications, media liaison, marketing and issues management, as well as events management and community relations.

Jacky has worked in a number of inhouse and consultancy roles, including holding the position of GM Marketing and Communications at a Crown Research Institute, a role which included sitting on the senior management team of that organisation. She has an extensive dairy industry background, having held positions at the New Zealand Dairy Board, and consultancy account manager at New Zealand Dairy Foods. Jacky was based inhouse at Fonterra for 12 months where she served as Media Liaison Manager and also had an overview of internal communications. She also led the public relations effort for the Faculties of Science and Engineering at The University of Auckland’s science and engineering faculties for five years.

After operating in Auckland for many years, Jacky moved with her young family to Rotorua in 2005. She continues to work in centres around New Zealand, including Auckland, Wellington and Rotorua.
